This is a new course we are bringing to Trusty Pet Pals in 2013. It is both fun and educational. Aswell as teaching children basic dog training skills and playing fun games using these new learned skills, we will also be educating them on bite prevention, dog behaviour and responsility for their own dog at home.

 

Imagine how excited your child would be to learn how to train and communicate with their beloved family pet using treats and positive reinforcement.

 

This course is designed to promote a positive attitude towards dogs by all children and to start encouraging children to take more responsibility in the daily care of the family dog and to have fun doing it. They will have homework exercises to complete after each training session and will receive a doggie pack on successful completion. This pack will contain a certificate for the child and their dog, notes on all material covered on the course and some treats for their furbaby.

 

This course will also educate children on the very important subject of reading dog behaviour and body language and bite prevention. This will help them to understand that it is not always save to approach strange dogs in public, how to read their own dog's signals and to always ask the permission of an owner of an unknown dog before approaching that dog.

 

 

 

Parents / Guardians are invited (optional) to attend and observe during each class but will not participate.
